James L. Nelson, O.D.

Dr. Nelson graduated from The University of Houston College of Optometry in 1979. Dr. Nelson practiced in Sioux Falls and Parker, South Dakota before moving the practice to Huron in 1987. Dr. Nelson practices General Optometry with an emphasis on Contact Lenses, Low Vision, and diseases of the eye. Dr. Nelson resides in Huron and has been in involved in many community organizations and activities.

Dr. Megan B. Hartman, O.D.

Dr. Hartman is a 2007 graduate of the University of Houston College of Optometry. Dr. Hartman graduated with highest honors and has a special interest in children’s vision. Dr. Hartman is now available to see patients Monday thru Friday by calling 352-4181 or after hours for emergency situations by calling 352-5092.

Sue, Office Manager

Sue is trained as a registered nurse, but has worked with business and medical aspects of our office since 1987.

Penny, Dispensing Optician/Stylist

Penny has worked in our office for fourteen years, and has many years of experience in fashion coordination and design.

Jennifer, Optician/Contact Lens Technician

Jennifer has been with our office since March 2006. Jennifer is involved with all phases of opticianry as well as contact lens dispensing and training.

Ashley, Dispensing Technician

Ashley has been with our clinic since July of 2008. She has a special eye for helping our patients to find that perfect pair of glasses.

Vickie, Insurance/Billing Clerk

Vickie started at our clinic in August of 2008. She focuses on the insurance and billing aspects of our office.

Aimee, Receptionist

Aimee has worked in our office since March of 2009. She specializes in scheduling, updating medical records and preparing the patients for the eye examinations.
